In today's world, we're more connected than ever, and that means notifications can come from all directions. We want to make sure that your Slash notifications are tailored to your needs. In this article, we'll walk you through how to adjust your notification settings on both email and the iOS app, as well as set up custom webhooks you need, so you can get the notifications you need without feeling overwhelmed. Let's get started!

Emails & Push Notifications

To locate the notification center click Settings, then Notifications. Here you will see a full list of which notifications can be controlled. Use the checkboxes under Email and Push to control notification emails, and push notifications.

Webhooks

Emails or push notifications not for you? Set up a webhook to get notifications your way. A webhook is a way for Slash, or any app, to provide other applications with real-time information. When something happens in the app, like a log in or card authorization, a notification is sent to the webhook URL, which can then trigger a series of actions in other apps.

We only support Discord webhooks currently.

To create a webhook:

  1. From the Notifications page, click Webhooks then Create Webhook.

    1. Ensure you have the Discord webhook URL. The URL will be in your server settings > Integrations.

  2. Label your webhook, and paste the webhook URL then use the checkboxes to determine which actions you would like to send.

  3. Every time the action happens, the webhook will send a notification to the destination.

Webhook notifications are instant and will happen every time the action occurs. Don't see an action on the list you'd like notifications for? Let us know!
