Refunds

Refunds will fall under the status of Refund on your transactions page and appear with a + in front of the refund amount, indicating that the funds have entered your account and increased your balance.

How long will it take for a refund to show up on my transactions page?

Refunds issued by a merchant will reflect in your Slash account in up to 10 business days.

Refunds are under the control of the merchant and subject to various factors, and we do not have any influence on how quickly or slowly they arrive in your Slash account.

The speed of a refund is dependent on automatic systems that we have no visibility into, and can vary depending on how a merchant's payment processing infrastructure is configured. Weekends and bank holidays can also introduce additional delays.

When will my balance change after a refund is issued?

The exact timing of this can vary depending on the merchant, and some may simply drop a pending charge rather than settling and then refunding it. If this happens, your balance will change, but the pending charge will no longer be visible.

Otherwise, the original settled charge will remain on your Slash account, and your balance will not change until Slash receives the refund from the card network. Once the refund has arrived, it will appear on both your dashboard and transactions page.

What if a merchant issues a refund to a deleted card?

Refunds issued to a deleted card will go to your Slash balance, just as with an active or paused card.
