Step 1: Connecting an external account

  1. On the home page, click "Move Money" > "Add funds"

  2. Click on "Connected bank account"

  3. Click on "Connect your account". This will open up a modal from Plaid, a bank connectivity platform used by the world's largest fintech companies. Follow their instructions to link your account.

Step (1.5): Waiting for your external account connection to be approved

In some cases, you'll have to wait for a member of the Slash team to approve your bank connection. This usually happens when you link an account that's not in the name of your business.

NOTE: you cannot initiate a connected bank top up from a bank in your personal name, you can only initiate one from a bank that is in your business' name.

Step 2: Initiating a top up

  1. On the home page, click "Move Money" > "Add funds"

  2. Click on "Connected bank account"

  3. Key in the amount of money you'd like to transfer

  4. Click "Transfer"

Your funds will be in your Slash account in 2 business days.

You'll only be able to initiate a deposit as large as 50% of your connected bank account's balance. If the balance showing next to your connected account seems inaccurate or out of date, click the "Refresh" button

ACH timing

You can visit the transactions page at any time to get an ETA for when your funds will settle into your account

Generally speaking:

  1. If you initiate your ACH transfer before 4:30pm ET, it will be available in 2 business days.

  2. If you initiate your ACH transfer after 4:30pm ET, it will be available in 3 business days.
